Mood: waiting for wind
9th April 2009
Windsurfing: Pevensey Bay
Wind Direction: WSW
Wind Stength: 20 knots but dropping !
Surf / Sea State: waves but flattening off
Air Temperature: nice
Sea Temperature: ok
Weather: sunny
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

binned work early to head to beach having had reports of nice SW wind and sunshine to tempt me away.
bit more cross-off than hoped, and waves looked to be flattening off while rigging.
went 104 and 6.3m despite thinking needed smaller.
was ok for couple runs, but wind was dropping quicker than we were going.
had a quick spin on Mark's RRD FSW105 and Severne 6.5m for comparison and RRD felt more link 105 litres than the freewave which feels more 95ltrs to me. much easier on Marks kit, and nice to confirm that it wasn't just me, the kit is smaller than the labels suggest, hence why it's so nice well powered on smaller sails !!
Nice to be out in the afternoon sunshine, shame the wind just went into siesta mode !!
